Functionalism has split the space completely for various use to make sure the schism will not interfere with the other activities that take place in the same house. Lead by a main Grid system, the project was injected an oblique line to activate the regular space.

Split by the art gallary in the oblique line system, the house has two separated parts - living and working space. Both parts are connected by another corridor with balconies in the straight-line system, while each half has its own stairs. The overlapping part of the two system weakens the sense of spatial depth; nevertheless, it is also a reminder – the space is now switching to another function.
